It’s like when you’re driving you slow into a bend and in the rise out of the corner you find you you’re in the wrong gear and you have to change down quickly to save from stalling.

We’ve been cruising along at one level and God is wanting to take us further and faster so the motion we were in couldn’t carry us. We have to dig down, change gear and go with Him at His speed.

It was like when I got to Santiago and walked into another massive cathedral that should be filled with the presence of God and worship but it wasn’t there. The gears had to change.

What God kept reminding me was that I was filled with His presence and that where I went He was there too.

In Burgos Cathedral, Angie and I after walking on painful feet for ages round that monument to lots of dead people (including El Cid; of Charlton Heston fame), found a simple side room that had a rather ornate ceiling. It had a wooden lattice that at intervals had golden objects poking through, it seemed like Heaven was trying to press in through the ceiling. The architect/artist/craftsman had produced a firmament with stars and more.

What I sense God saying to me is that He will once again fill the cathedrals of Europe with His people and His praises.

Your Kingdom come.
